Arizona Weekend Adventures!

Writer: Rachel PintarelliRachel Pintarelli

The weekend of April 16th we hit the road and ventured out for a weekend stay in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

On the agenda? Staying at our first Air BnB (it was fantastic), spending a few hours at the infamous off-grid Nellie E. Saloon Desert Bar, checking out Lake Havasu's London Bridge (no seriously, it's the original London Bridge!) and then on our way back home to Vegas we made plans to pop into the quirky (and very touristy) ghost town town of Oatman.

It was a fun, full weekend jam-packed with sight seeing and learning incredible things. For instance, did you know parts of Lake Havasu have a dark sky ordinance, and no street lights are allowed?! It made for some incredible star gazing. We also got heckled for the brightness of our Jeep's headlights on our way back from dinner (btw we ate at Juicy's and it was really good! 4 stars!). We laughed at the thought our headlights would be offensive, especially since they are simply stock. Lake Havasu takes their dark sky stuff seriously!
